Our Mission
Welcome to Midgewild — we're so glad you're here.
We’re Amber Crawley and Lydia Brown—longtime friends, homeschool moms, makers, and lovers of stories, and tiny adventures. With six kids between us, we’ve spent years building cozy learning spaces, making things with our hands, and dreaming up creative projects together. Greetings from Midgewild is the natural outgrowth of our friendship and love for beautiful things.
At Greetings from Midgewild, we believe our purpose is to bring a sense of wonder, connection, and creativity into the lives of families and individuals through the simple joy of storytelling and real mail. In a world that moves fast and often feels digital and distant, we wanted to create something slower, softer, and more meaningful.
Each month, subscribers are welcomed into the whimsical world of Midgewild—a hidden village where pocket people (think borrowers) live, and adventure is always just around the corner. Through our monthly subscription tiers, families and whimsical souls alike receive a rich bundle of enchantment: 12 lovingly written letters, 12 short stories, handcrafted zines, local newspapers from the village, reading list recommendations, and original illustrations and artwork.
But the magic doesn’t stop at the mailbox. Each package includes downloadable extras, cozy craft activities, themed playlists, and surprise goodies to spark creativity and bring the charm of Midgewild into your home. Whether you're a homeschool family gathering around the table, a parent weaving stories into your child's bedtime routine, or simply a grown-up who never quite outgrew wonder, there’s a place for you here.
Greetings from Midgewild is more than a subscription—It’s an invitation into a slower, more whimsical way of seeing the world, where small things matter and stories come alive. One letter at a time, we’re building a community of kindred spirits, story lovers, and whimsical persons who believe in the power of a good tale, a warm cup of tea or coffee, and the joy of something handmade and heartfelt.
We write everything in Midgewild ourselves—from the letters to the zines to the village newspapers. The characters in Midgewild feel like old friends, and we can't wait to introduce them to you.
